The transformation of resource-based cities is a complex systematic project. At present, the long-term problems of single industrial structure, lack of vitality in development and acute livelihood issues, and other serious contradictions and problems of China's resource-based cities have not yet been fundamentally resolved. As China's economic development enters a new normal state, the overcapacity issues of raw materials and other industries have been highlighted, and the prices of staple resource-based products fluctuated slightly, which have exacerbated the difficulties and pressures of the transformation.
