Zero-carbon energy is non-aqueous renewable energy power which don’t increase the emissions of carbon dioxide in energy production and use, including nuclear power, hydropower and wind power, photoelectricity, and biomass energy.

The Research Institute focuses on solar energy research, carry out multi-energy complementary demonstration research, build Internet +intelligent energy system, promote energy production and consumption revolution, and build a clean, low-carbon, safe and efficient modern energy system.

Zero-carbon architecture

Zero-carbon construction is to build a unique, perfect livable space with ventilation system, water-saving system, heating system, and energy supply system with international top design technology, materials, technology and construction methods combining renewable energy and architecture.

The Research Institute will focus on studying the high integration of buildings and renewable energy such as solar and wind energy, shallow geothermal energy, and biomass and a new model of multi-energy complementary application of buildings to find the best solution for the harmonious coexistence of human, architecture and environment.

Zero-carbon transport

Zero-carbon transport is the means of transportation which basically does not produce carbon emission in traffic and the trend of urban sustainable traffic development.

The Research Institute focuses on studying the new normal state and pattern of “Internet + traffic”, including the exploration in the field of new energy automobile, such as pure electric, hybrid, fuel cell and other new technology, to reduce exhaust gas of ground transportation, develop the demonstration effects of zero-carbon transport tools, build an intelligent and convenient transportation system, increase the lasting power of urban development and improve urban life.

Zero-carbon agriculture

Taking reducing greenhouse gas content as the goal, zero-carbon agriculture is to achieve high efficiency, low energy consumption, low emissions, and high carbon sink agriculture by reducing carbon emission, increasing carbon sequestration and adapting to changing science and technology.
