The Park’s Intelligent Micro-Grid Key Technology Research and Integration Demonstration was approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China in 2014, and undertaken by Yingli Group and China Electric Power Research Institute. Centering on the friendly access of intelligent microgrid for distributed energy resources and key issues in interactive operation with distribution network and focusing on the application prospect of China’s distributed PV power generation-based intelligent micro-grid, the company has studied the key technologies and system integration of distributed PV power generation-based intelligent micro-grid through combining the similar engineering practice experience of overseas countries. Adopt power storage to alleviate the intermittency and volatility of distributed PV power generation, enhance the access capability and quality of grid connected power of distributed PV power generation, and make studies in the aspects, such as topology, control strategy, operation mode, measurement and energy efficiency management of intelligent micro-grid system of distributed PV /power storage, and build micro-grid system integration demonstration platform of distributed user side PV and PV /power storage micro-grid system integration.
This project uses the 400KW photovoltaic component of the State Key Laboratory and its matched inverter and power distribution cabinet to construct the distributed user side PV, and equipped with 100KW diesel generator as auxiliary power supply. Micro-grid system integration demonstration project adopts 200KWh battery energy storage system, adds 200KW power storage flywheel with the highest rotating speed of 36,000rpm to ease disturbance so as to provide uninterrupted power supply for office lighting, important equipment and other appliances of PV Key Laboratory.
Through monitoring the power quality and reliability of PV /power storage intelligent micro-grid by long-term operation, the industrial park covered by micro-grid energy system has achieved zero carbon emissions and is expected to generate about 9.79 million KWh of electricity within 25 years of life expectancy and generate an average of 390,000 KWh of electricity per year. Compared with thermal power plant with the same amount of electricity, it saves about 3,427 tons of standard coal, and reduces the emissions of 7,900 tons of carbon dioxide, 73 tons of sulfur dioxide and 21 tons of nitrogen oxide within 25 years.
