Yingli Attended the 2017 Expo and Gained Wide Acceptance for its Zero-Carbon Concept
On July 14th, the opening ceremony of Hebei Week of China Pavilion of Astana Expo was officially opened. As a key enterprise representative of Hebei, Yingli Group was invited to attend the Expo. At the Expo, it focused on promoting zero-carbon concept and got heightened attention and wide praise from government officials, industry participants, and guests from various countries.
At the Expo, the China Pavilion, themed on "future energy and green silk road", emphatically displayed China’s new concepts and new achievements in the traditional energy transformation, new energy development, and green, environmentally friendly and sustainable development. As a representative enterprise in the global PV industry, Yingli has achieved fruitful results in The Belt and the Road business dealings, and realized the successful transformation in "technological innovation and foreign output mode" to boost green development.
Wang Haitao, Deputy General Manager of the International Sales Corporation, makes a promotion speech as a representative of enterprises in Hebei
“With the continuous development of the Belt and the Road, China's economic and trade contacts with other countries have developed rapidly, and trade patterns have been constantly enriched and improved", said Wang Haitao, Deputy General Manager of Yingli International Sales Corporation who attended the green energy international cooperation promotion activity of China Pavilion, “At present, Yingli’s solar photovoltaic products have been applied in more than 60 countries along the "The Belt and the Road". Meanwhile, Yingli has also shared photovoltaic development experience and provide technical guidance to The Belt and the Road-related countries and exported over 20 related technical achievements to more than ten countries.”
In the promotion speech as a representative enterprise, Wang Haitao has fully introduced Yingli’s advantages in technology, brand, product and market, and also widely spread zero-carbon concept, which is consistent with the Expo's theme, and also demonstrates the firm attitude that Yingli fully supports China’s "The Belt and the Road Initiative" and its fulfillment of the social responsibility of a zero-carbon enterprise.
On July 6, 2017, Zero-carbon Development Institute was officially established by the units such as Yingli Group based on the national R & D platform. It aims to build a high-level research platform which integrates technology research and development, achievements transformation, technical service, standard output, talent training and international exchange. It is also the first zero-carbon research institute in the world. Wang Haitao said, over the years, Yingli has been committed to promoting zero-carbon concept and popularizing zero-carbon products, always advocated to provide green and environmentally friendly clean energy for human beings and accumulated rich experience in R & D of zero-carbon technology, the application of zero-carbon products and the promotion of zero-carbon results.

Over the years, Yingli has attached great importance to photovoltaic research and development of prospective technology and key technology. It was approved as “State Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Materials and Technology” of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China and National Energy Photovoltaic Technology Key Laboratory” of National Energy Administration of China in 2010 and 2011 respectively. In 2013, it was approved by National Development and Reform Commission as national-recognized enterprise technology center and approved by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People's Republic of China as international joint research center for photovoltaic technology. It is the only enterprise which boasts four national scientific research platforms in China’s PV industry. Yingli has vigorously developed clean and efficient solar photovoltaic technology. Its self-developed “PANDA” PV power generation technology has become one of the world's three most efficient battery technologies. The technology has been successfully applied to China's first "leader" photovoltaic base project. The 50 MW bifacial photovoltaic power station that the Company built is the world's only and largest N-type bifacial photovoltaic power station so far. According to the monitoring data of the power station, the maximum integrated power generation gain of the power station is up to 30%. While making breakthroughs in traditional photovoltaic technology, Yingli has also been committed to exploring new photovoltaic applications. Its original BIPV technology is to integrate solar photovoltaic products and building materials. The products manufactured with the technology can be used as building materials, but can produce electricity. The technology is a sign of green building and also an effective way of building energy conservation.
According to reports, the First International Symposium on Zero-carbon Development will be held in August of this year. China's first zero-carbon city project will be officially unveiled at the symposium.
