Yingli attended “PV JAPAN 2017” held in Yokohama, Japan on July 5th, 2017. It displayed multiple star products at the exhibition, spread zero-carbon products and zero-carbon concept abroad and hastened its zero-carbon development.
“To develop green energy represented by PV is of great practical significance to achieving the goal of zero-carbon development. As a famous international photovoltaic manufacturer, Yingli attaches great importance to the research and development of prospective photovoltaic technology and key technology, and is committed to rapidly transforming front-end scientific research achievements into productive forces and promoting zero-carbon development with a steady stream of green power.” According to the field staff of Yingli, “The multiple products such as PANDA bifacial power generating intelligent heat-spot-free black silicon component can generate more power and is environmentally friendly, which has a good prospect.”
As introduced by the field staff, Yingli’s “PANDA” technology has upgraded to the second generation. High-efficiency N-type monocrystalline PERT cells, ion implantation technique and the design of five main grids made the front efficiency of “PANDA” cells reach 21.5% and rear efficiency reach 19.8%. As to PANDA BIFACIAL 60-piece photovoltaic modules manufactured with the second-generation “PANDA” cells, the front generated power can reach 300 watt, the rear of the modules can contribute 30% of the front generated power at the maximum, and the practical generated power exceeds 380W. Compared with the first-generation sheltered modules, the design of split junction box for transverse outlet gets rid of back shield, which can increase generating capacity by over 4%.
In addition, Yingli “PANDA” power generation products have a variety of advantages. Equal capacity power stations require less land resources. The ability to resist salt fog or ammonia and other corrosive gases and resist PID and snail stripe risk is strong. Matched with Yingli’s customized aluminum frame, they’re more resistant to wind and snow, and safe for transportation and convenient for installation.
The initiative hot-spot-free technology of Yingli in the industry has also led the intelligent development trend of photovoltaic cells at the exhibition. Each battery plate of Yingli’s intelligent hot-spot-free modules is connected in parallel with a diode. When the battery plate is sheltered, the two-point voltage of diode with which the sheltered battery plate is connected in parallel will change. The diode is conducted, and the current flows through the diode and screens out the sheltered battery plate, which will not affect the normal operation of other batteries and solve the problem of hot spot. In particular, household PV photovoltaic system, designed for meeting higher requirements, is safer and more reliable.
The other Yingli zero-carbon product is black silicon module. It has integrated a wealth of technical elements and adopted new cashmere technology and the new technology of substantially absorbing light energy and greatly improving the efficiency of photovoltaic cell conversion. The texturing with the technology of metal catalyzed chemical etching (MCCE) forms has more compact and closer nanometer suede on the surface of battery, which can substantially increase the absorptivity of light by greatly decreasing the reflectivity of cells. After the texturing, the reflectivity decreases by 10%, and after the coating, the reflectivity decreases by over 4%, which can increase the conversion efficiency of cells to 19.4%. The overall power of the module will increase by one level, the output power of 60-piece module will increase by about 5 watt and the maximum power of 72-piece module can reach 340 watt. In addition, the appearance advantage makes black silicon products more suitable for residents to install, and the products can match with other materials, which can greatly enhance their integrating degree with environment and architecture.
With the support of national R & D platforms, Zero-carbon Development Institute, the world's first zero-carbon research institute, was officially established. As one of its initiators, Yingli has been committed to photovoltaic industry for 19 years, accumulated rich experience in the R & D of zero-carbon technology, the application of zero-carbon products, and the popularization of zero-carbon results, and built a complete database ranging from production end to application end, which laid a solid for its zero-carbon development. Founded by Yingli, Zero-carbon Development Institute will necessarily become an important support of the world’s green energy research and usher in a new era.
