The Chinese government made a solemn commitment to the world at the Paris Climate Change Conference: By 2030, China's non-fossil energy will account for about 20% of the primary energy consumption. At the Fifth Plenary Session of the 18th CPC Central Committee of the Party, it was put forward that China should continue to pursue green development and promote low-carbon cyclic development. In the construction planning of Xiong’an New Area, it was emphasized that China should continue to give priority to ecological protection and pursue green development.
In order to promote the concept of advancing zero-carbon and green development and ecological construction with renewable energy and serve the construction of Xiong’an New Area, the First International Seminar on Renewable Energy Promoting Zero-carbon Development was held.

This seminar has carried out discussions and exchanges centering on the domestic and foreign new energy industry to promote the development of zero-carbon cities, how to achieve the transformation from low-carbon to zero-carbon, the opportunities and challenges facing China's zero-carbon development, zero-carbon technology and applications of new energy, and zero-carbon architecture and demonstration.
